Hello everyone! My name is Marina and I’m a journalist. The thing is – I do not work for TV-channels nor for publishing offices, so I am sort of my own boss. I love travelling around the world and share my emotions with my small audience via my youtube-channel. I’ve already visited 14 countries! And I am really proud of it. It’s also should be noted, that I don’t travel because of earnings. I do it for my followers’ pleasure and surely for my own one, because travelling has been my dream since childhood. Therefore, I can proudly consider myself a traveler.
Now then, I have recently returned from a trip.
This time I had chosen Venezuela (Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela). To be honest, I hadn’t known much about it before my trip. I only knew that the capital of the country is Caracas and people there love football. As you already realized, my knowledge was superficial, therefore I was hoping to find as much information about this country as it was possible. Unfortunately, lots of people in Russia don’t even know where Venezuela is located, and, I guess, Venezuelans also don’t know much about us. It was the fact of my unawareness that made me to go to that remote and unfamiliar Southern Hemisphere.
So, the first thing I noticed about Venezuela after my arriving is amazing nature. There is a great number of activities you can take part in. For example, you can surf at the Caribbean seaside, you can observe plantations of exotic plants or see the biggest national park on the planet which is called Canaima.
Talking about local dwellers, they are pretty emotional, benevolent and hospitable. I was amazed when I found out that they can call strangers “my love”. It says a lot about their respect for people around. Spaniards, germans, french and italians are the main nationalities of Venezuela. The official language here is Spanish. Due to this rich national composition, diverse culture of this country attracts tourists from all over the world.
Once, I decided to have a walk in the evening and I was impressed with a great number of small and cozy cafes in the streets which are always crowded. As it turned out, citizens adore to come together in such lovely places with their families and friends and to have nice talks about everything in the world from politics to sports. I think, nothing could be better than the time spent in the bossom of close friends.
Also, I would like to mention another important topic. I would like to talk about delinquency. People from different parts of the world are convinced that Venezuela, and Caracas in particular, is a criminal place, so you wouldn’t find this place among the recommendations for tourists. But trust me, all of those prejudices and stories from news-papers and tabloids are unreasonable. I can surely claim that Venezuela is a safe place for travellers. I’ve seen a beautiful country with its interesting and rich culture, with amazing people that are proud of their motherland and are ready to introduce it to tourists. I had been their only for few weeks but, I’ve received a great number of pleasant emotions
I think, such unfamiliar countries are worth visiting at least because of their originality.
Finally, I would like to say the words I usually say to my followers: our planet is wonderful! Travel more. It’s worth it.
